What does “Life Outside” mean? In this context it refers to living outside Babylon. Babylon is the cryptic biblical reference to the world system that structures life on earth. It is often referred to in the Bible as simply, the world. It is managed by man and the prince of this world, Satan. Those that knowingly serve Satan’s purposes refer to their global empire as the “New World Order” (NWO), among other references.

The system currently is under Satan’s direction, in arrangement with God. But the earth belongs to God’s kingdom. As I have touched on in other articles, God likens the earth to a garden, His garden, and has left it in the care, or stewardship, of Satan. Details are sketchy as to this arrangement between God and Satan, but God makes it clear He will return to set His garden in order.

This global system leaves nothing untouched. Health, finances, education, politics, military, communications, property, food, water, energy, even the lives of men are all subject to its control, ALL who live in the system are controlled by it. The system not only expects, but demands total submission in exchange for living under its “care”. Only by leaving the system can one escape its control. “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s” speaks of more than money. “Choose this day whom you will serve.”

God, as expressed clearly in the Bible, intends to come back and establish His kingdom here on earth after crushing the world system and the Satanic empire that controls it. God tells His people to leave Babylon, leave the world, so that we will not share in her sins, or her punishment!

Leaving the system conjures in our minds the horror of living without all the “good” things “life” in the system has to offer. We don’t mind so much rendering a little bit to Caesar in exchange for a little bit of the good life. A little bit here, a little bit there and soon it is only the “good life” that we hunger for, strive for, and sell our very souls for. It is the lustful pursuit of the “good things” that has allowed the system to gain control of every facet of our lives. To be friends with the world is to be an enemy of God.

The true King of this world is not the usurper Satan. It is Jesus Christ. He told us to seek His kingdom, to live for it alone, and He would take care of us. He promised that what we eat and what we wear, our needs, will be taken care of. He told us that if we give up everything in this world for Him that we would receive hundredfold in this life and the life to come.

He wants us to trust Him, to have faith in Him. To know that what He promises is already a fact. Our King knows how to take care of His faithful subjects.

My family is a living example of this. We stepped out of the world system back in 2014. I don’t want this to be about me. I just want to encourage you with a real life example of answering the call of King Jesus. I will elaborate further next time in LIFE OUTSIDE, Part 2.
