COMING OUT OF BABYLON
The Word of God tells us that if we don’t walk as Jesus walked then the truth is not in us and we are liars!
The Word told us how to walk as He did. He told us that if we don’t give up everything and follow Him we cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Word tells us that those who are self-ambitious cannot enter the Kingdom.
The Word sent out His disciples, as an example, with nothing but the clothes on their back, they returned praising God.
The Word had no place to lay His head, and yet He told us not to worry about what we will eat, or what we will wear. He told us to lay up treasure in heaven and these would be taken care of.
He told the rich young man who was religiously obedient to God’s Word that he still lacked one thing. He told him to go and sell all he had and give to the poor, and then follow Jesus.
These things seem crazy to the world, but God made the wisdom of the world foolish by the message of the cross.
If you are a true believer then you understand what the Word means when He tells us that we are not our own, we were bought at a price. We are now subjects of our King. Most of what our Kings wants from us is opposite of what the world offers us.
The Word told us that whatever we give up for His sake, we will gain a hundred fold in this life, and the life to come.
The Word told us to come out of the Mystery Babylon, the world system, so that we will not take part in her sins.
Brothers and Sisters, we are not our own, we must answer the call of our Shepherd. He has called us to leave the world system. He has instructed us that whoever stands firm to the end will be saved. On the the last day He will raise us up.
If your “Christianity” doesn’t look like that above then you too must answer your King’s call to walk as He did.
We must not live as the world lives. We must depart from its banking, houses, riches and luxuries. We must shun credit, oaths, courts, in short everything that binds us – yokes us – unequally with darkness and wickedness.
“You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.”
I will encourage and guide you as long as my King would have me do so. But, if you hold on to the world, if you try to save your life, if you see your wealth as blessing rather than curse, then you will receive your reward in this life, but in the next even what you think you have will be taken from you and there will be only weeping and gnashing of teeth.
